The USS RICHTHOFEN is made up of a variety of "Departments" that offer a variety of things to do allowing our membership to sample from the social buffet that the USS RICHTHOFEN continues to offer.

Each Department has a Department Head/Chief, and they would always appreciate input from new members, current members and prospective members. Read on below to get a taste of what each of the departments do and contact the head of any of the USS RICHTHOFEN's Departments to get involved now!

Command:

Robert Hasty - Commanding Officer/CO
Karen Mitchell - Executive Officer/XO

The Command Department, headed by the Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, and the Second Officer is responsible for overseeing all USS RICHTHOFEN functions. The Command Department shall oversee and advise all USS RICHTHOFEN committees. The XO and Second Officer shall typically handle the advisement and oversight function.

Communication with other fan organizations will be handled though the Command Department, including the supervision of any Diplomats aboard the USS RICHTHOFEN.

Operations:

Lowell Whitaker - Operations Chief

The Operations Department, headed by the Chief of Operations, shall be responsible for maintaining the ship’s master database of promotion points and maintaining the event calendar.

The Operations Department shall also house the Communications Sub-Department, headed by a Communications Coordinator. The Operations Department is responsible for producing, copying and distributing the ship’s newsletter on a quarterly basis. The Communications Sub-Department shall develop the marketing/recruitment materials for the Chapter, including updating and maintaining the web site.

Security
Chris Carothers – Security Chief

The Security Department, headed by the Chief of Security, shall be responsible for event logistics and transportation organization. The Tactical Department within the Security Department will be responsible for the USS RICHTHOFEN’s role-playing activities.

Engineering:
Karen Mitchell - Engineering Chief

The Engineering Department, headed by the Chief of Engineering, shall be responsible for the technical aspect of the USS RICHTHOFEN’s online chapter activities including scheduling online discussions and the electronic mailing list. The Engineering Department shall also house the Recreational SubDepartment, which serves as the entertainment liaison for fan films, fiction, or Radio Starfleet.

Sciences:

Position Vacant - Science Chief
The Science Department, headed by the Chief Science Officer, shall be responsible for developing and maintaining the USS RICHTHOFEN’s award program. They are also responsible for once a year filing the USS RICHTHOFEN’s nominations for individual and chapter of the year honors and any regional commendations. The Science Department shall also house the Paranormal Studies Sub-Department.

Medical:

Position Vacant –Chief Medical Officer
The Medical Department headed by the Chief Surgeon shall be responsible for promoting and coordinating the USS RICHTHOFEN’s Community Service activities. They also supervise the “Gracie Awards”, as it’s a well-known fact that laughter is the best medicine.

Temporal Affairs
Position Vacant --Director of Temporal Affairs
The Department of Temporal Affairs shall be responsible for maintaining the USS RICHTHOFEN’s archives, including photos and after action reports. This Department shall also house the History Sub-Department. The History Sub Department will organize and promote activities to famous battlefields, museums, and other places as well as online discussions.

711th Marine Strike Group “The Flying Circus”
Robert Hasty-Officer in Charge

The 711th Marine Strike group headed by their Officer in Charge shall be responsible for promoting and coordinating paintball games, lazer tag, and other competitive events.
